John Hyde and Andrew Pickford, Project Western Australia: A Growth and Productivity Agenda for the Next Government, Mannkal Economic Education Foundation and the Institute of public Affairs, 2012.  Available at: http://www.ipa.org.au/library/publication/1344903539_document_projectwa.pdf.  The authors note that after many years of discussion about Western Australia’s “potential”, there is now a sense that the state has an opportunity “to step forward and seize out comparative advantage”.  The publishers of the book enlisted “many informed commentators and brought together this document with the hope that these issues and alternatives will be seriously considered and even implemented.”  They are certainly worth considering.
